Quatre Bornes is one of the most densely populated towns of Mauritius. It is always crowded and busy due to it’s main central market and few shopping malls. So if you are a fan of shopping, then this is the place to be.
The town does not attract a lot of tourists but is very popular for residential purposes. It’s main road St. Jean Road is always busy with traffic as it connects Port Louis to Flic en Flac.
There is a bi-weekly clothes market which is worth the visit and many tourists come to shop there. A lot of bargaining happens there and you can get some really nice deals for yourself. Apart from that, there is one shopping center Orchard Center as well right adjacent to the market.
