The aptly named Legends Tour has reached its final showdown at Constance Belle Mare Plage on the Legend Golf Course in Mauritius. At the press conference held on the eve of the tournament, Colin Montgomerie, alongside Peter Baker, took a stroll down memory lane, reminiscing about the 1993 Ryder Cup at the Belfry.

This year’s tournament features a star-studded lineup reminiscent of the iconic 1993 Ryder Cup, with Major winners and renowned names from yesteryear in contention. Colin Montgomerie, aiming to recapture his 2015 victory, still cherishes his remarkable birdie, eagle (hole-in-one) birdie finish that propelled him to the top of the leaderboard.

Adilson da Silva, currently leading the Order of Merit rankings, hopes to maintain his position after finishing as the runner-up in the past two seasons. Meanwhile, Peter Baker, last year’s winner of the MCB Tour Championship and the John Jacobs Trophy, returns to the field in high spirits, seeking a triumphant conclusion to the year.

Hosted by Constance Hotels, Resorts and Golf, the event promises an enthralling spectacle as the Legend Course shines in brilliant condition, despite recent cyclonic weather. Recognized as the No. 1 course in the Indian Ocean by the World Golf Awards, the Legend course will challenge the seasoned professionals, with its flawlessly groomed greens running as swiftly and smoothly as ever.

As the MCB Tour Championship kicks off, anticipation runs high as competitors prepare to navigate the unpredictable weather conditions and vie for the impressive $1-million prize purse. With the season’s conclusion on the horizon, all eyes are on the captivating action as the Legends Tour reaches its pinnacle in Mauritius.
