A new team of ambassadors has been appointed that will be representing Mauritius outside the country, marking an important shift in diplomatic representation. Among those chosen are Sarojini Seeneevassen, Danielle Perrier, Rajesh Jeetah, Reza Gunny and Brian Glover.
Sarojini Seeneevassen will take on the role of ambassador in Australia. She is a marine biologist, has studied in Europe und worked for research department of the fishery ministry of her country, before she was promoted Ambassador of Mauritia.
Rajesh Jeetah who is the former Minister of Tertiary Education, Science, Research and Technology of Mauritius is set to represent Mauritius in London.
Experienced diplomat Brian Glover will serve in Geneva, Reza Gunny will oversee affairs in Egypt. Brian Glover is an experienced barrister and was appointed by the President of the Republic of Mauritius as the first ever Chairman of the Equal Opportunities Commission of Mauritius in 2012, a post he still holds currently.
Bruno Cunniah will advocate for Mauritius in Madagascar, and Dany Perrier will be stationed in Maputo, Mozambique.
