It was nothing short of a film story style weekend for the former Prime Minister, Pravind Jugnauth. He was arrested in money laundering case for which he got bail. However, DPP Mauritius put a stay order on his bail which led him to spend a night at the Moka Detention Center.

After spending a night at the Moka Detention Centre, he returned home to Angus Road, Vacoas. Indeed, the leader of the MSM was released on parole. He will have to appear in court in Pamplemousses this Monday, February 17. Pravind Jugnauth will have to provide a bail of Rs 750,000 and sign an acknowledgement of debt of Rs 5 million. DPP has said that they will not appeal the decision.
